When it comes to understanding bulk fuel storage it can be quite overwhelming. Fundamental rule of thumb is to ensure that whichever tank you choose, complies with local, state and country regulations.

Fuel tanks come in a range of sizes, manufactured from various steel, and housed with componentry to ensure that fuel is pumped for the purposes of the client. When you are choosing a tank for your project/job there are a few items to consider, some of the crucial questions are:

  1. what is the purpose of the fuel tank
  2. what will the tank be storing
  3. do you want to go above ground or below ground
  4. what approvals do you need for you tank on site
  5. what certifications does your tank need to have to comply with local/state/national rules
  6. In the event of a disaster can the tank be used again (in this case only an SwRI 95-03 certified tank can be re-used)

Starting the process easy we thought we would thought we would create a helpful info graphic that showcases some of the tanks that are out in the market and how they differ when it comes to certification.
