SwRI 95-03 MULTI HAZARD TEST: Requirements for Multi-Hazard Aboveground Flammable Liquid/Fuel Storage Tanks – Around the world, new codes of practice and legislation require all fire tanks to be either SwRI 95-03 (or UL 2085) approved; the SuperVault is both. It is the only 4-hour fireproof petrol tank to pass the toughest test for above ground petrol tanks, according to the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) (Texas, USA) 95 – 03 multi-hazard test. During this test, despite being subjected to fire, water, projectiles and heavy-vehicle impact; the integrity of the SuperVault’s primary tank remained intact. This tank is also a popular choice for solvents, which often have the same “flashpoint” as petrol. To read more about this standard please click here.
SwRI 97-04 – 2 HOUR FIRE TESTED TANK – To meet the demands of a 2-hour fire resistant environment Fuelchief’s Pyrotector™ flammable storage range has been designed to comply with various international regulations. One such one that is held in very high regard is the SwRI 97-04 which means the primary tank must pass 5 psi (pounds per square inch) air pressure test for one hour (no temperature limits). The optional requirement is secondary containment vehicle impact resistance, ballistics and resistance. This makes the Pyrotector™ above ground tank suitable for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids. To find out more about SwRI please click here.
